Oh, the littles have a ramp - this one is for some adults who had no problem trying to roost in trees, so I didn't bother giving THEM a ramp.
I have a group of adult Naked Necks that insist on sleeping in a pile in the bedding in the open air part of the coop, and only go up into the (nice big) enclosed hen house to lay eggs (and otherwise ignore the roosts). Drives me crazy, because although the coop is all locked up, they end up being "out" in the weather if the rain or wind blows sideways (not uncommon), they are a bit more vulnerable to burrowing predators if one gets through the hardware cloth for some reason, and I can't manage their poop (including checking it to see if anyone's sick) with regular under-roost cleaning like all the others. Not to mention their rooster crows earlier in the morning. I may try to get them to roost again, but they are stubborn for some reason...
