I woke up to a pip this morning!
The humidity had dropped to 45% do I dripped more water in through the vent holes. Now it's around 60%.

I have a kettle full of water on the stove steaming all day, because it is so dry right now. Tampons are such a great idea! I was "fixed" a years ago though, so don't have any around the house. When I have a problem keeping humidity up its usually because the room is too dry. I just boil a big pot of water to raise the humidity in the house. Also tampons soaked in water are perfect and they hold alot of water. Just sayin'. ; )

mine aren't anything special... just picture window hovabators (3) with (computer) fans added. incubators have auto turners in them. the hatcher (4th hovabator picture window w/ fan) i line with paper towel and then use a rectangular bowl (about 4 cup size disposable) with 1/2" hardware cloth shaped lid to provide humidity, and hatch the eggs in slightly tilted paper egg crates.I don't know what kind a bators you have, Ki4got has some pics of hers. Maybe see will put them up. I use a towel in water. The towel or sponge acts like a wick and will keep putting water in the air.
Can you see the yellow thing in the corner. I have a sponge and a cut terry clothe towel in there. The towel can be draped across the top so that more area is exposed to evaporate the water. I have it near the fan and heat to help that along. Could you fashion something similar on a small scale?
