I'm glad your girls liked my free little millie silkie mixes. Your little silke seems to be setteling in quite nicely.

My daughter only grabbed one, I think CoopCrazy's son grabbed the other, lol. I saw Aaron (his son) hugging it and carrying it around. I wish I knew what the little mix is that Attack Chicken caught. She really, truly is the sweetest little bird. I held her for hours on my chest and she just settled right down like she's known me for ages. And your Millie mix acts like she owns the place, lol. We ended up with some great birds. I'm so glad the little Silkie is adjusting. It seems like since Silkies are so laid back, they adjust well to almost any situation. I love that about them.

The little pullet that AC caught was hatched by my LF buff cochin Chatty, who lives up to her name. I don't know that it was really her egg--they tend to lay in the same nest. The rooster was an EE cochin mix who went to someone's dinner table at the last swap I attended. Chatty is a really sweet hen--follows me around and gets underfoot. The chick escaped as I was setting out my chickens Saturday morning, so had been running around in the woods all day--had a loose latch on a cage. I'm glad that she's being spoiled!

Finally caught that little sucker LOL

I kept looking at her and wondering what she could possibly be. She sure is pretty. I didn't think she was Bantam. Knowing what she is though helps me know which pen I'll be moving her into later though! She has such big, brown eyes, they just melt you. She is precious. Do you know about how old she is? Since she's large fowl, at her current size, I would guess 9 or 10 weeks old. She has been named Girdy by my DD. Gosh we got some great birds this year!

chseeads, the two little ducklings we got from you, oh my gosh, they are soooo sweet! That little Call took to my mother immediately. She spent hours this afternoon sitting on my mother's chest, just peeping softly in her sleep. The little yellow one was first out of the carrier yesterday and I had her eating out of my hand and letting me touch her with in minutes, and as soon as she did, the Call came out and did the same thing. Sebrightmom, the ducklings we got from you aren't as brave yet, lol, but they are doing well and they LOVED their bath time today. We filled the tub with a few inches of warm water and they paddled around for about 10 minutes just thrilled to have water to splash around in. It was cute. I love my birds!

What a great weekend! Thank you, Rob and Kathleen, for all of your hospitality this weekend. Anyone that was there could see that you guys worked hard getting everything ready. The pork was awesome!

If anyone who didn't get a tee shirt wants one, I still have a few left. Lots of childrens shirts left and a few adult XL's left. They are $5 (plus $3.00 shipping)ach for the rest of my stock that are done. special orders still available. Pm me for details.

What color was what you got? I can't remember.... I was thinking that you didn't get a call, but when I went through my "inventory" that night sorting everybody out and separating what was mine from my neighbors, I did come up 1 short on what were his babies, but didn't think what you got was a color that was from him...lol

I hope Rob & Kat got their much needed rest! They definately deserve it. I am so glad so many people enjoyed the party. We sure did.

My birds are all doing well--I think the turkeys from Seth peeped all the way home! It was great to meet with the new people and visit with friends.

We didn't have to sleep with any dogs---which was nice! Thanks again for the use of the pop-up camper. Actually, we cannot thank you guys enough for doing this!

China Chicken mom, was wondering how old the Silkie chick and Clem are?

pbirdhaven, wondering how old the spotted Silkie chick and the Polish chicks are. Also, would like to pay you for the second polish chick if you could pm me your address.

The injured chick is looking even better today. The redness is pretty much gone and the feathers that were left on the head have fluffed out. It is having a little trouble opening the one eye. I gently bathed the eye in warm water. That helped a little, but it seems sensitive to the light.

And this little turkey went, Peep, peep, peep, all the way home.... I bet!

The little sized guys (of all sorts) that I had in the back of the Trailblazer were peeping and hollering up a storm all the way home. I'm sure they were tired, hungry, thirsty, and aggravated after their long day. LOL
