That def looks like Cocci..get them on Corid right away really. ..once they act sick it's usually too late. I've lost plenty to know better.

I am only going on my one experience with Coccidiosis. My birds presented with bloody droppings and I made a post over at the emergencies/diseases board about it, at which point I was assured it wasn't Coccidiosis because my birds were not lethargic. The next day, two of the chicks were lethargic and I treated with Corid. They came out if it without any problems using the dose I posted before. That has been my experience.

Of course, browncow should do what they think is best for their birds, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with treating now to be safe. I want to make that absolutely clear.

Pipd - Congratulations on your exam scores!  Those are both really tough classes, too.  What are you majoring in?

Thanks! I was floored by the 97--never in my wildest dreams did I think I scored anywhere near that on that test! I'm majoring in Biology and will hopefully add a second major (or maybe just a minor, it depends on a lot of things) in Agriculture next year. :)

amwchickin - Love your little mille fleur! She is so pretty!

I am really impressed with your cupcake prowess! My daughter is getting married next September and her future sister-in-law is making a cupcake cake for her, too. I hope hers is as nice as yours!

I am so mad right now. My mom found homes for a few of my dogs puppies a little over a week ago. They insured us that they were going to a good home. A few days ago the guys wife posted them for sale for $250! They are mutts! No one is going to pay $250 for a dog that is mixed with so many breeds it is funny. they are trying to say they are bulloxers. Thats not even a breed of dog! Tonight I get on the farm and garden section today and their they are again, but this time for $150. Why do people have to be so stupid? If they werent going to give them a good home, Why would they have took them and try to make a profit on them? I am even more frustrated since they took my 2 favorite puppies. I would of never guessed the people to have done something like this, the husband was really nice, the wife I didnt like so much. to make matters worse the husband is my step-dads boss. Guess who is getting a phone call tomorrow. Mom is going to handle the phone call, I dont think I would be very pleasant to talk to. Hopefully we can get the puppies back and find good homes for them. I know not chicken related but I need to rant.
Wow that is just not right. If something came up and they could not keep the puppies they should have tried to return them to you.

Hi guys! Playing catchup again, have an event taking place here with my dad.
He has finally agreed to his heart surgery. We will know more in November, but he told us at dinner last weekend.
My parents have been married 53 years.
This is pretty scary but the other option is do nothing, giving him little time left with us. He needs a valve replaced.
He is 79, will be 80 in January. The surgery is pretty invasive.
He also had bypasses done in the mid 80s and they have to be worked on too.
So, it will be an open-heart process. Needless to say I won't be around much

I am reducing my flocks drastically so I can still provide proper care for them too.
Am trying to find transport for moms dialysis, with a reputable company.
If she feels uncomfortable with them at all, then it just will have to be me.
Everything else I can work out, but the 5 hours 3 days a week will make it very difficult with Dad needing care too.
I may have to drop Mom off, and go back home to care for Dad.
Going to do more searches tonight and hopefully find someone.
Am off to catch up! Hope everyone is well.
Prayers for you and your family.

I'll be at the show. Not too sure who all is going with me but I'm bribing DH with a breakfast buffet on the way up if he will drive. What he does not know is that I want him to drive so I can hold the puppies on the way home. And I plan to keep these puppies a long long time.

Oh chhhhhhickens I would be SO mad. I hope you get it straightened out and those puppies find good homes.

Jchny2000~ im sorry you and your family have to deal with so much right now. Will be thinkin of you.

INDIANA POULTRY SHOW

I got us a table reserved claimed in the Outdoor Pavilion by the Commercial Building. Look for the sign. I think it will survive Indiana Winds.

They didn't have any space inside the Commercial Building, they said.

They are expecting 2100 entries. Chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, rabbits, etc.

Sign says "Indiana BYC Here".

The red and white signs on the posts read "Sale Coops". Our table is back by the restrooms.

If you want to sell birds from your vehicle in the parking lot, there should be no problem.

There is no parking fee. I don't think there is any admission fee either.

It's a rather relaxed atmosphere.

The show is in the Commercial Building and the Rabbit Building.

Eyebrows might rise if you bring in a semi load of them.
