I don't wash the eggs I set, they are usually very clean, once in a while usually when its rainy, i see a dirty one. I worry about the infection the yolk sacs can get, so i don't want to risk taking their defenses away. Whats everyone's thoughts on washing, not washing? I have read all sorts of views on it.

Fermenting, oh man, I am flat sold on it. If i feed dry, they all start sneezing from it. That tells me its irritating their little nasal passages, can't be good for them. Saves me a lot of money on feed. no waste, they eat every drop! They drink less water, because its moist. Also aids their digestion, maintains good probotics. Stopping now I can go hours talking fermentation! There's only one negative, the buckets get heavy carrying all over to the different critters!

Hmm that's odd. I have seen many people recommend it on this forum. I used it for the quail with no issues. I wonder if you got a bad roll of it?
guess I will wait and see. If i have to,i can replace it with paper towel, or just put the towels over the rubber. I just don't want them directly on the wire. I have seen so many birds with broken toes, especially racing pigeons. I know lots of people do it with good success too.Hmm that's odd. I have seen many people recommend it on this forum.
