Ooooo! Is the the deep blue with the red on the chest?Well, I'm expanding my quail species now! Just ordered some Texas blue scale quail eggs.
I have a silver duckwing hen, that's a gorgeous color, congrats! My favorite is my Red Pyle hen, she is an absolute sweetheart.I found some OEGBs! I am getting 5 tomorrow. Silver duckwing, so excited. I saw some on ebay but these are just in north manchester. I was going to get a trio for $30 and they said well would you want 5 for $40. I said yes, of course lol. 1 cockerel and 4 pullets and I just bought these 5 hold cage so they can stay in them temproarily (spelling ?). I might hatch some eggs from them, If I do I will let you guys know because I know a few people on here would be interested.
Quote: Not boring at all! I have a hunch we're not the only ones that's curious. We have been researching since last fall. Most of the dairy farms seem to be north or west of us. A good friend up the road, Jack, keeps around 30 or so head. He does mostly holstein. He has one processed for his family then sells the rest on the hoof. He gets his from a dairy but had already got his for this year, otherwise we would have went in with him. I assumed he bred them, he said its too much headache, so he just gets a livestock trailer full of calves every spring.
Quote: sounds good! I will send a PM. My TSC in anderson told me they won't be carrying the 24% anymore, I had been using it. I am going to make some more calls, and I can check Orshlens too in greenfield.
