BB guns are completely useless. Boys shoot each other in the butts with them abound here. They thought they had a BB, but made mistake. Not sure how, but they did.I wouldn't want to do this myself but keep in mind that you may have to put her down but let's hope not...

So your neigboor was trying to get the chicken off their property and so they decided the best way after trying for a while was to shoot it???
My guess is they were terrible aims with throwing stones, and couldn't shimmey up a tree. And possibly too stubborn to call someone.
