I think we must guard against our fears for the future running away with us. My great aunt, who lived to 101, had the best advice about this. She said she had lived through many cruses in her long life. She had nursed in France during WW1 and in North Africa In WW2. As a senior nurse she had practically built the field hospitals in both places with only the most rudimentary of materials and equipment. The resources were pitifully small, and the casualties great, but by sheer determination and effort they performed miracles. She told us everyone can be clever and resourceful when they have to be. You would be surprised how little you really need to get by. By all means plan for the future but don't neglect to enjoy today!
