Yes, government abhors anything that they cannot tax or regulate.

In some places it is illegal to collect rain water off of your roof because it was not taxed and regulated. Some governments think that all rain water belongs to "the People" and not to individuals.

I have heard people complain because someone was using "the Peoples' wind" free to power their windmills. These same people hate the wind farms that are being built. While they are all for green energy, they see the wind farms as a grab by greedy individuals for public resources.

But if the wealthy don't build wind farms, who will? Not the government, not the poor, not the working class, but who else?

Wait until they figure out that we are all breathing "the Peoples' air" free. Expect a tax.

Government people always take care of themselves first.

Years ago when Ronald Reagan decided to give away surplus cheese rather than store it, I was working in a government office. We low ranking grunts discussed the cheese give away, and we decided that we should not take cheese, but should leave it for the less fortunate.

Our supervisors though, not only stood in line on government time to collect free cheese, but had their wives and kids in line also. Some collected four and five times the allotted amount.

The worse offender was the guy that was always telling us "You the wealthy have to pay your fair share." I was doing the payroll then, and that bozo was making six times what I was.

Sometimes life just sucks.

Ronnies basement was full of that stuff. They have some at his museum along with the little packages of ketchup they used to round out the school lunch program. You know classified as a vegetable. I heard his son talking about it on his talk show.

Has anyone heard about the FDA closing an Amish farm for selling whole milk. It is advertised as unpasturised and FDA unispected. They could not keep up with the orders, that is how the FDA found out about them. SSSOOOO many loved their milk. That is not right.

Wait until someone gets sick, sues the poor Amish farmer for all they have. At least with testing you have some form of rebuttal. The government needs to deal with frivolous lawsuits and trial lawyers first.

More people get sick each year from USDA approved vegetables than raw milk.

And the place I get raw milk does test every week.

Pasteurization doesn't make dirty milk clean. It just makes dirty milk mostly non toxic. Raw clean milk is far superior.

I wasn't debating the quality of raw milk but stating the reasons for testing as a defense when someone tries to sue you. Testing is for protection to the producer.

We just got 2 recently freshened goats. That milking is a lot easier than I ever thought it would be. The milk taste just fine when it's nice and cold. We're getting pigs today and will be using some of the milk on them. Our calf will be ready to breed in about 2 months. All our milk will be for family use only. Too much liability and red tape to sell it. Hoping DW can make some nice cheese.

I'm off to build another stanchion. Our 8 year old loves to milk the goats. Built 1 stanchion already. Sure makes it easier.

Well, the price of gold has fluctuated about seventy dollars an ounce in the last three days. Some one is buying and some one is selling.

This does not bode well for us I am afraid.
