That!
As for a national lottery, getting more money in to the system isn't the problem. It's all the money going OUT. Giving them more money at this point is completely foolish.
Actually the problem is on both ends. They need to stop giving tax breaks to the wealthy and do a better job of controlling medical cost and freebie programs to people that don't need it. Those that do need it should still get it.
We don't have much choice on the wars. As long as all the funding to support alternative energy resource research is locked up we will need more and more oil. It's an endless vicious circle with no easy solutions. From the bottom to the top nobody wants to pull their weight. They just want to complain about everyone else and misdirect everyone's attention.
At any rate I am willing to admit I am not an economist. Obviously nobody else that has posted here is an economist either. Anyone else willing to admit it? The people you all (myself included) listen to on TV and the radio are or read on some homegrown website are also not economist. Even if they were everything they say is just speculation or flat out lies to manipulate people.
So do what you can with what you got and try not to vote us into a deeper hole than we are already in. At least someone finally managed to direct some attention to Osama Bin Laden. At least the original bad guy is finally dead. Maybe that will save 5.00 a month or so.
