injured duck update*

My duck had a limp last week and her leg was noticeably warmer. Remember heat doesn’t always mean infection. When there is an injury to muscle (a strain or slight tear) blood rushes to the affected spot to try to aid healing, which could cause heat. Anyway I gave my girl plenty of b complex and tried to keep her calm and she’s doing much better this week. Good luck!

Hello it actually looks like an ankle sprain so it takes weeks before those heal. Rest is the best...

Definitely and all the supplements don't need to be applied. They do better without extra crap that can cause the poops etc...

There are plenty on BYC that have had great success using B Complex with their duckling this year. Older ducks may even be helped by it. Sure doesn't hurt to try since it is safe to use.
I do agree and said in a few of my posts here that rest is one of the best things to do for an injury. Hopefully you'll soon see improvement in your duck @winterducks
