Injured Duck

Pics
I'll pick up an extra loaf of bread tomorrow to help fatten him up. (whole wheat of course for better digestion.)
id try chicken scratch to, our ducks absolutely love it, and its had a lot of natural foods and seeds in the good ones. Just a suggestion.

He comes back about an hour before sunset. I look for him all day and suddenly he appears as if waiting patiently for me. He devoured a bunch of whole wheat bread slices. (still all I have for now), and then went to the pond and drank LOTS of water. For about 10 minutes all he did was continue to drink.
This is good right? Because it keeps him hydrated? The only thing i'm worried about is the other males seem to be pushing him out of the flock. They put their head down and run towards him to shoo him away. And he sadly complies. Is this normal behavior for ducks? To oust an injured one out of the flock?
I added 2 pics. In the first one, he's all alone drinking water away from the others who are waddling towards me, and in the other, he's keeping his distance from them after drinking .
It was like this for the female one eyed duck when she first lost her eye, but slowly the others accepted her again. I'm hoping the same will happen with the male. Just by observing them I can see they're fiercely dominating and territorial creatures.

First pic, he's by himself after being shooed away by the other males. 2nd pic he's in the background by the water drinking and drinking...and drinking!

Giving him lots of bread then he drinks water it’s probably not so good for him to have so much bread. Ever tried to eat a sandwich with out something to drink.

I won't be able to pick up the feed and cat food till Wednesday, so i'm using the bread temporary. I just want to get something of substance into his stomach after not eating for 2 weeks. If the bread will hurt him, i'll stop. I certainly don't want to cause him any more discomfort.

They just maybe give it too him over the day not so much at one sitting. Lol. Your doing great caring for him. And hopefully the flock will accept him again he was weird to them for a while so they Need to get over that. Bless you for caring and please keep the updates coming!

Thank you. I felt terribly guilty for not being able to help him when he was injured, that maybe i'm trying to overcompensate by giving him too much food. He disappears all throughout the day, so I only see him an hour before sunset when he appears. Hopefully he's foraging for his own food or getting handouts from neighbors during the day. I will keep the updates coming and hope the flock eventually accepts him again.
Only the other males do it though...the females act normal around him.

Of course the males don't want him around it's breeding season. Hopefully they aren't fighting since they have such a nice large area to stay away from each. Maybe he'll eventually get a little harem of his own. They like other things too romaine lettuce chopped up grapes. Chopped tomatoes.
