Injured feral pigeon - need help!

Pics
OK, so Mr Pigeon wriggled out of his sling twice - the mischievous thing. So I gave up on it and went to put him back in the box and... I don't know whether he did it because he was just annoyed but... He stood up! I've also managed to contact a local "Animal Ambulance" charity, run by this lovely lady who takes in injured wildlife. I know she will take such good care of Mr Pigeon for me. I'm just sadly not confident enough to see him through a lengthy recovery. I want to do my best for him, which I feel should be finding him the best care I can. The lady who is taking him believes, as I do, that all life is precious and nothing is "just a pigeon". Thank you all so much for your indescribably kind support. Everyone else I know thinks I'm mad - including my husband haha! It's been a lovely journey, thanks xxxx

You have done an excellent job taking care of this bird! Your decision to send him on to a wildlife rehab is also a good one. Thanks to you he will likely recover and be released. It has been my pleasure to make your acquaintance.:hugs

That is good news. You have done a great job with the care you gave given him so far. I'm sure he will make a full recovery, even with you I am confident he would be fine. All life is precious and should be given every chance.
Seeing as you are now a member here will you be thinking of getting some of your own? Just kidding! But it has been nice to meet you! :)

Sooooo glad lil guy got rescued and recovered somewhat significantly. Eating and drinking was first step in recovery. You ALL gave such great advice, :thumbsup..
Only thing that kept crossing my mind was CCUK's recovery Headquarters. only 395km
