Insulation Needed?

Where are you located? The answer for insulation is usually “No”. However, some situations call for it. Chickens can deal with cold pretty well, but a choose breeds for cold climates if you are in a really cold climate, conversely pick breeds that handle heat better if you are in a hot climate.

Mice and rodents appreciate the coziness of insulation and the proximity to food, so try to make sure mice can’t get in easily. Some HWC around bottom edges can keep rodents from easily chewing their way into that cozy space.
