Hopefully this will provide enough head for this very well insulated cleaning room but I may have another solution in the works

This door and window leads into the Coop area so grandchildren can toss in treats without going inside

Your two BO hens are so cute!! Where did you get them from?

My girls are from Cackle Hatchery. I think they are adorable... and so sweet!

These photos made me laugh. In the first one there's really nothing to give you a sense of scale, so I thought it was bigger than it is. So when I saw the chicken, she looked HUGE!

Good job everyone! Thanks for all the great ideas. I started with 2 hens and a "used coop" that was only 4' x 6'. Now I need a bigger coop (I have 14 hens and just got 22 chicks). Retractable roosts? Slide out poop trays? Very cool! What I really want for my coop is the Ladies' tin outhouse behind an old abandoned gas station in the lot next door. It has the cutest little enameled toilet. Can't you just see it with a nest in it?

I need to see if I got all the pics to my coops yet and get them posted. They r still being worked on as far as the winter shelter needs to b done, nest boxes hung up right now they are using boxes and dog houses and they have not stopped laying by having to use them. Then inside the barn where my tack Andrews room is now, will be converted to my incubating, and hatching room and where I will have the baby chicks and cleaning station. I am getting a friends counter top area that has the sink and putting it in there. They aremoving and the house will be torn down because a new housing developer bought the property and land they were renting. So she said we can have anything in the house when they got there stuff out. And what is being left on the outside. We are getting a silo from a gentleman up the road and that will be are feed and tack room.
