it is nice to know she always had it . so now we know .
does not change any thing to your breeding program .because she is not powerful in that area . the reason I say that is Malika is her daughter and she is free from it .so Queen is nor dominant in the mating regarding the parasitic white .
maybe her parasitic white is sex linked .only her boys will inherit it not the girls .

Does Prince has a same white feathers in his wings or tail ?very important to know .
Malika s has got it is good enough for me . I go with a result .not a theory .

Yes prince has molted in a white primary feather to the right wing and now has a white tail feather he never had before. The white tail feather is new just in the past couple weeks. I'm ready to just cull him and move on.

Malika didnt inherit it so maybe you're right that queen is only passing it to her sons.

That is very true. I was just worried about passing the parasitic white further. Malika is better than her mother so I was thinking it might be smart just to breed her to both males next year, as well as a couple of my best pullets. If you think Queen is okay to use, then use her we shall.

all ours chooks have faults .we just need to find to pair them to get the best out of them and produce better progeny .
Queen purpose this year is to breed her the younger cockerels to see balance the matting out .you can not breed just from a young stock ,you have to mix a generation in your breeding program .Grand Dam/Grand Sire ,Dam /sire,Grand son /son . daughters.Grand daughters .and all what is between cousins ,half sibling /etc................ proper line all the genes from each generation will be maintained .
plus Queen she is a proven breeder ,so nothing to worry about .she will produce more of Malika s for you .So her W chromosome has a good attribute .

PS =what I m trying to tell you is ,you need to produce few pullets from Queen s and a cockerel from Malika . so you can mate them together in the future .I like Queen W chromosome , need to fix the Z chromosome on her line .so we need her alive for as many years as possible . a lot work need to be done to maintain the line . more work than creating it .

that what I m trying to find out .is the white on queen sex linked . now I know it is related to her Z chromosome not the W so you are good to produce pullets from her ,Pullets line Foundation hen .
cockerels we will find another avenue to produce them .

so now pay a great deal of attention to Queen s progeny when you mate her to her Grand son Dark Halo . see what type of pullets she will throw .lMalika s type of better , I think will be better .
forget about the cockerels in this line .pullets line .

Believe it or not, for the first time in my life I am not panicking regarding my Marans. Lol. I think I am just to that point that it is what it is. I have been ready to scrap the whole line before, probably more than once. Especially when I couldnt get a handle on the high tails. The line is getting better each year so I can't ask for any more than that. Now that I have nice tails to look at I feel like any problem I am faced with has a solution. To me, nothing was worse than those cursed high tails. Lol. If they can be solved, so can the white.

I was only panicking because everything else is culled. I have nothing else! I liked what Chooksman said. I go with result. Not a theory. I will remember that! Puts my mind at ease. I needed that.

I know a lot BC and BLC breeders .they do not believe it is possible to produce a correct BC cockerel from a BLC mating .you my friend prove them wrong .what an achievement . you should be proud .

Thank you Chooksman! I really do like Blaze. I think a little better than Nimbus even. I forgot to check Pearl for parasitic white but I looked at her daughter's and they looked good. I am assuming she is fine. Is parasitic white dominant?

here a method to breed Queen as a foundation pullets line hen .
Step #1 =breed her to both cockerels DA and DH keep only pullets .
Breed Malika s to her son DH and DA try to produce son s , she is proven good @ that .
select the best one 2 or 3 free from any white and colourful .

Next step # 2 = mate Queen pullets to Malika s son s . this method of line breeding cover more area than a classical mother son /father daughters. prodce both pullets/cockerels.

Third step in 2 years time = Malika will become a head of the clan she will replace her mother Queen s .and will be bred to cockerels come out of Step 2. her Grand son s .

not a 100% dominance , but it powerful especially on cockerels .
if pearl daughter are free than she is fine even if she has . because she is proven breeder ,
I worry about a pullets /cockerels because they are not proven breeders .

Yes my mind it at ease too. They're only chickens and this is supposed to be fun. That's our new mantra. Lol. We're fine, everything is fine.
