that is bloody cold .
we are having heat and bush fire problem this year .we are dealing with plus 35/40 DC

my last hatch of the year 19 is done .
very big chicks hatched this time ,because of Hybrid vigor affect . BC. BLC and SPC.
8 incubation . 6 groups .550 chicks in total for this season .
now i have to look after them all and let them grow .

I m not happy with a Birchen chicks ,I think I m going to get ready of them . just keep a dz good ones .

those are the chicks hatched @21 days .the rest hatched day 22 few day 23.

group2 are 9/8 weeks old last Sunday .selected the best 30 pullets and 15 cockerels .they are all tagged with they new leg ring .they are ready to go outside and run as much as they can ,

You are wrapping up your hatching season just as we begin ours here in Kentucky. Congrats on your many many babies! My husband has decided to fire up the incubator next week to get some Game chicks hatched early. I dread brooding chicks in the dead of winter, but it must be done. On a positive note, I am finished with my BSN classes and will be graduating with a 4.0. Very stoked about that. Now I'll have more time for the chickens.

this was my first time in 6 years that all my hatching are done in one season all together finished before Xmas .all done is Spring time. the old group are 12 weeks old and the youngest 1 day old . happy about that

the pullets in group #1 and #2 are of high quality not the cockerels yet .they are good but not as good as the pullets .
a lot work need to be done .with those lines .

the good cockerels are showing in group #3 and #4 . Day Walker and his Brother Anki s ,they son s are stunning . the best I bred so far .
here one of his cockerel with Unicorn @6 weeks of age .long ,wide ,feathered .no fault to be found .he is a White Tail Buff .
