BLC cockerel 7 months old .Brahman tall type . very tall and wide plus super heavy .
marans still throw some time those type or Langshan type . part of they genome .
he is handsome dude .well calm .and Elegant when standing .
Not a good walker . little tilted toward the front . Wrong his back should be tilted to the back . toward the tail . cockerel in far back close to the fence .

Chooksman, I have been thinking about next year. I am thinking of having 2 breeding pens. One pen BC over BLC hens. The other solid BC. Then the big pen to keep all the layers and maybe a extra rooster. That will leave me 2 pens to raise up chicks till they are 12 weeks old. What do you think?

my oldest cockerels 10 1/2 months old .big ,wide ,heavy and well behaved .
they are the base of my future Solid Black and dark cuckoo lines.

this guy is the only one no showing any parasitic white on his tail .he is pure Black .
his mama is Ravendale . so I named him Raven Mamba

he will be bred back to his dam to start a new Ravendale line . his sister lay very nice dark 6 eggs .ovall shape .

high tail BLC pullet .she is really big ,tall and heavy, lay dark super large eggs 70g and over . not for body color breeding but very good for mass and super large eggs breeding .
she will be bred to the solid Black cockerels .

2 BLC pullets 7 1/2 months old .
both have a correct long /wide /heavy body type low to the ground ,wide abdomen .

his majore fault is .his under fluff is lighter .not good ,should black .
I will breed him if I have too but only with specific hens ,

I have better cockerels than him any way .

Splash copper cockerels .great long body type but narrow not wide . . very ,very bad comb on one of them .
those type of cockerels should be bred to square and wide type pullets if we have to breed from them .
me I will not breed them .

BC pullets with heavy colored chest . not to be bred with well colored BC/BLC cockerel BUT can be bred to BC/ cockerel without the shoulder color .
both the chest color and the shoulder color are regulated by the same Autossomal red genes .
