International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

Hey @Chooks man thanks so much for the comments on my birds. I am getting you better photos today I hope. I see what you mean about all your comments. you have a good fast eye. I only see it after you point it out. :)
I also see the dark copper colour of roosters on previous page- much more auburn than copper. is that the colour that is desired? I do see quite a difference.
good to know.
thanks

I took some pics this morning, (lots of rooster photos- will have to sort thru them) ... but I got a couple fo photos of my BCM and noticed some weird eye things going on.
First photo- rooster has a black marking on either side of his pupil. Both eyes. Bad? Will this be passed down?

Last two photos- same hen- one side her eye is normal, but the other side, its almost like its placed incorrectly in the opening. It definitely effects her sight, but she doesn't seem bothered by it. (but she's easy to catch!) Will this be passed down?

the SOP call for rich red copper or just well uniform copper .not Mahogany .

@Minky

this eye is damaged by accident or bacteria . not genetic .
does happen to me many time and they end up loosing the eye when fully mature .does not seem to bother them .

Really? Well I wouldn't have thought that! That is good news I suppose, at least she wont pass it along. I wonder how she could have damaged it.
Thanks for the tips and advice, I really appreciate it
