I never thought you would give up on Claude. He was always to slight/small for my taste..... but he really is balanced.

Sometimes from a distance I can't tell Claude from Antonio.
I had that trouble once posting pictures. I just can't remember how I fixed it or what was wrong. I think it was a BYC problem but that doesn't seem to be the case for you.
Congrats on the hatch!
Congrats on your chicks Chooks Man! Hope you figure out the problem with BYC so you can post pics. I can't post pics using the BYC App on my iPad but I can if I use the website on my computer. KeithQuote:
I never give up on such a rooster . I m just saying ( comparing from the photos ) that Antonio look more complete . close to perfection . chooks man PS the day I ll be able to post photos of my chicken I thing they will be close to point of lay . hahaha.......... still have trouble . with last night hatch .I passed 120 healthy chicks ..all sort of colors .
He is still young and doesn't have his mature feathers yet. Once he molts out of his juvenile plumage, the white should disappear. Right now he's still a baby and a few white feathers is common in juveniles. Hopefully those white feathers will all molt out.Hey everyone. Not sure if uploading on the app will work. Thanks to everyone sharing your great pics. Right now I have 3 black copper roosters with my "adult" flock. Plan to process the third one thanks to help here to those that assisted me in picking my top two.
From another group... I have one male that I kept with the younger girls... But they aren't young anymore and they don't need his protection whilst free ranging anymore. He's a great guy and unlike my other roos that grew up with other males in the group he didn't have that (thanks to a hawk taking out the other 3 males in his hatch group). I wonder if growing up as the only male is the reason he seems more protective of his girls.
Can't decide what to do with him yet. He's still to0 little to be worth processing... Idk if his "type" is decent enough to feel okay to pass him on to another bcm flock in my area. Or if due to his faults I would be more productive for the breed as a whole to just, 'off' him? Sorry if that offends anyone. If I kept him I'd have to rotate out one of my other favorites, both of which I'm keen on. However I paid a lot for the eggs and the man I bought from has won APA stuff repeatedly for his males. Eh either way I figure pictures from all ends of the spectrum are good for conversation and learning!, here he is
His fault is some white on his tail tips!. I've never seen this! Usually it's on the last wing feather I'll see it... Or on the foot feathering. All the females I got from this man were super super consistent looking so I was impressed with him for that
Tail white:
Another fault if I was being picky, he seems to have a bit of, idk what you would call it- flame ish? around his neck. Then again, my other roos seem too-mahogany to me at times.
Oh and on another note. I've decided I'm not going to breed the hen I have with the odd eye color. I will keep her for eggs until I hatch more hens then give her away. A pic of her eye fault

That's what we've always figured, but I wanted to be sure. We normally clean hens out for two weeks but I think I will go ahead and start collecting some LA eggs for the incubator. It's been nearly two weeks. They took a short break while we had snow, but have started back up again. One of my splash hens with Mud (FRF BCM cockerel) is laying also so I'm going to start saving those eggs as well.10 days is good.
for me when I swap the roosters I still hatch the eggs been lay in the next 10 days but I tagged them differently
chooks man
