Ok I am back and have some pics of our small flock. Turns out we have 2 roos and 2 hens. With 12 more fbcm eggs in the incubator I will be looking to get rid of one of the roos asap. They are all 14 weeks old today. If we need to hold onto them longer please let me know as today is the 1st day for the fbcm in the incubator. Oh Tail fethers look a little misplace he was just getting done doing the roo thing with another hen. Pens are being built asap.

Do the tail feathers of the first cockerel look like that all the time? Some of the feathers look twisted. I have a cockerel with the same problem. Hopefully he dont pass it on to his offspring.
Other than that his color is lovely and he has a nice long looking back. His tail is long and may be high as he matures but thats something a lot of us are working on, myself included. His comb looks good and his wattles are nice and round. Leg feathering can be improved easily by pairing him with females with good leg feathering. His eye color looks good also.
Cockerel #2 is the underdog and cockerel #1 is the alpha. That is clear by how much bigger and redder #1's comb is. Cockerel #2's posture looks awkward the way he is standing in the picture. If he stands that tall and straight up all the time I think he would be the one I would part with. Even though his tail is better.
If you can, let them grow out longer and mature before making your decision. Sometimes the underdogs blossom into nice looking roosters. I have one that is case in point.
