That's crazy! So they probably pay people a lot of money to sit around and make up sh!! The guy at the animal supply store said he went to a meeting. They are saying that giving antibiotics to animals is what is causing these super bugs in humans. Only 2 cases where linked back to animals and all the rest where from antibiotics given to humans. So new regulations on people being able to get antibiotics without a prescription from the vet. This is just what he told us. Anyone else having problems getting antibiotics?

I have a dilemma! I am going to have to get help narrowing down these cockerels. I have 4 culls now and 4 keepers. I don't need four cockerels because I still have Antonio. There are some really nice cockerels in this group and my favorites flip every other day. @kfelton0002 I have good tail size and angle on these 4, tail is never at 90 hardly ever at 60. Excellent type. I will take pictures tomorrow. Where is Chooks man? I want to know if I should cull Antonio. I hate to but his sons are better.

I culled Apollo because I got better sons from him. If you no longer need him you could rehome him. I will be doing the same this year also with Gideon my line B cock bird if he produces a better son than him. Maximus will be the only cock bird who stays to breed next year.

Has anyone noticed that you can't go to the feed store and buy antibiotics anymore. I went to buy tetracycline for my pheasant chicks. They told me that you can only get antibiotics through a vet. What are we going to do if our birds get sick? I don't know of anyone around that does chickens.

I get a lot of my meds for our chickens online. Try Wood Enterprises, Amazon, Ebay, or google it and see if you can find the cheapest place. Wood Enterprises is where I buy most of our meds, tie cord supplies, etc but they also sale bands, cups, and such.

@marchick what symptoms do your pheasant chicks have? If they are having cold like symptoms it could be CRD. You can treat with an injectable or water soluble med like Tylan or Tylosin. LA 200 is another injectable option.
