My pullets are my best birds. I hope she helps your program.That may be it. The pullet is super healthy with glossy black feathers as soft as satin. She is just slower to mature like you said. The cold winter had to have something to do with it considering yours matured faster in your warmer climate.

They are very wasteful!So I've tried 2 different kinds of feeders now and the chicks still waste it all! I fill a half gallons worth and come back in the morning and it's bedding. I don't remember my last brood doing this. Am I a bad mom for making them scratch for their feed?! They are going through more than the adults!
Probably because she is standing next to a cockerel! LOLView attachment 1395844 4 weeks. Look at the difference in feathering. I'm not sure what to make of 1 - that was the largest chick when I got them but now the smallest.
