Now you tell me this after I worked out this great chart.

it is a good thing to do a lot practice . make you understand better what are you doing.

I like your drawing . nice chart. I m impressed.

RedBank you don t have to hatch all the eggs your self. get some body else involved in your breeding program . send them some eggs from a specific pairing and let them hatch them . it is all part of one breeding program

Baxton Brigade is one of them for sure and I m positive you can find more taker for your eggs.

Genetic like the numbers . great numbers mean great result .

I can start November - December.

you have a plenty of time than to organize your self and all what you need ready .

you don t have to raise all the cockerels you can sale them to the feet store or other peoples at 6/8 weeks ( first selection ) swap them for a bag of feed or some thing.

This is Sheldon. He is the same age as Will. About 10 weeks ( June 1st hatch date) He is the one I feel is the best of the two rooster I have. The other one tail is not as nice.

Sheldon is a good cockerel no bad at all .
Type = good.But need more width
mass = ?
Head = good.
Comb = not the best.sprig in the middle and a coronation at the back .
Eyes = Ok need more time
Back = nice flat and long.
Tail = great ,shape and form . well angled .
Shanks = nice size good color and well feathered .
Hackle = nice copper.
Neck = well erected free from deformity good size.
Shoulder = need color and width
legs = strait But too close to each other . need WIDTH.

need few more month to see how he ll color up and how much width is going to gain .

you see his legs are too close to each other . they should be space out . he should have Wide rear giving it the pyramid shape we are looking for.

you can see the sprig on the middle and the rear to could be a sprig or a coronation to early to tell .

They are not over feathered, but they do have feathered leg all the way down the shank. Sheldon has the most feathers of the two roosters.

sheldon is correctly feathered .

Do no dismiss the hen from the breeding because of the luck of the feathers on her shank. that is the easiest think to breed in or out .as easy as you when you put your jacket before you go to the shop and you take oof when you back from shopping .

Egg color is hard to breed in .

The comb is more hard and complex to breed true .

if you swapping rooster you need 10 days but one week is enough.because the hen can store the sperm and use it to fertilize her eggs for up to 10 days. more or less

if you are working with just one rooster than the eggs will be fertile al the time as long as the roo is healthy .

if you put the breeders for the first time together than you have to wait for one week at lease to start collecting the eggs .
