I am tying to decide on whether I want to keep this cockerel or not. He is pure LA. I have posted pics of him before but he was younger then and in his awkward phase. He has lots of white underfluff, especially under his hackle. He has a halo also. He seems a tad too fluffy in his back end. I didn't get a shot of his breast, but it is solid black - no leakage. His type and tail angle are probably his best qualities. He looks a lot like his sire, Cooper (last photo).

I really want to attempt to eliminate parasitic white from this line, but his type and tail set may earn him a free pass.

What do y'all think?

Here is a pic of his sire, Cooper I have saved on my computer. Cooper also had a lot of white under his hackle.

Gorgeous as always! He is looking very handsome with his new feathers. There are qualities Antonio has that reminds me of Mud. Sadly, my husband had to cull Mud the other day. He has had ongoing crop issues and just wasn't acting well. :(
I am sorry about Mud.

My best blue copper pullet started laying today finally! I am hoping her egg color gets darker, but I wasn't really expecting dark eggs from the blue coppers since their parents were unrelated from different lines. And her mother (splash copper) laid lighter than a 4. By mating my blue copper pullet her to her half brother (FRF x LA BCM cockerel) I will hopefully see an improvement in egg color next year. Her egg is the same shape her mother laid too, elongated looking - but I will work on egg shape also with the blues.

I like him. I like his rectangular body. You improved Copper's breast. Love it when it looks like a boat bow. He is like Antonio with flame and a halo.
