I'm loving that huge brooder! We use 300 gallon stock tanks and they work well, then we have several wire bottomed brooders also we keep chicks in until they are fully feathered. I would love to have huge brooders like yours though! Very nice!

Here is 6 days worth of eggs from my Marans, legbars, barred Olive Egger project, and Sapphire project birds. I will only set the eggs of appropriate weight but still pretty impressive for the winter in KY. :D

Pardon the lighting in the pic, I had to use a flash due to the low lighting in that room. The bulb is out and hubby hasnt replaced it yet.

That's a large lot for your dog. Very nice! Its good you saved him from being put down. My sister has two large pit bulls she and her husband rescued and one of them, the old female is highly aggressive toward her other dog and visitors. She is a very dangerous animal, not just because of the pit bull breed stigma but simply has trust issues and an obviously abusive past. She tried to attack her mother in law and the other dog defended her from the attack. My sister has 2 small children and a newborn. Not a good situation.

I just came in afrom while ago running a strange mutt off our property. Rosie was barking but she is on a chain for the time being until we get her fence fixed. We bought enough fencing to enclose her a nice 1/3 acre with 5 feet high horse wire. Slowly we will enclose the entire property. Stray dogs never came onto our property until Rowdy passed. Hoping to get the fencing done soon. There are too many people in my area that might shoot my precious Rosie if we just let her roam. She wont stay home like Rowdy did and wanders all the time. After bear getting shot, Im not taking chances. :(

Wow! Great color in that group. I have a few legbars, an olive egger and a few welsummers that should start laying any day now. Those Marans eggs are gorgeous!

It may be silly, but I'm going with the JL bar farm for me. It's my great great grandfather's cattle brand, and my dad still uses it, right side brand. We still use the same branding iron he did over 100 years ago on the same ranch. It's a two iron brand, the J and L are joined.View attachment 1209900
Not silly at all....... wonderful! Love all things western!
