@kfelton0002 How are your Red Banks chicks doing? @Chooks man Tony 2 is so nice I am starting to worry something might happen to him. I can't believe how nice he is. His hackle is dark copper with no halo. Pictures soon. Not bragging just pretty amazed!
They are doing well. Growing fast and very healthy. They are pretty much fully feathered now, and it looks like your original assessment was correct: 1 cockerel and 3 pullets. I am very happy with them. They are very chunky and vigorous chicks and get along quite well in the big brooder with the older chicks. I haven't posted pictures yet because they are still in their awkward phase and are all mostly solid black. I will take pics when I turn them out to free range. No worries about the free ranging. We have been keeping Waylon tethered on a collar and long lead while we are feeding and such and have to turn our backs. This gives him controlled exposure to the chooks while keeping him from chasing and killing them. He is now 12 weeks old and growing big. With the controlled exposure on the long lead, and correction via his e-collar while we are supervising his off lead time with the chooks he will learn not to kill the chickens.
I am very happy to hear your Tony 2 is growing into a nice bird. Keep him safe!
