They just said they picked the more flashier birds. The birds that beat mine had lots of color and their copper was brighter, so that is what they were looking for. They didnt day anything was really "wrong" with my birds.

they don t use the point system ? so they just decide like that .this bird is flushier ,

Here is "ugly face." He is one of the cockerels I don't think I was able to photograph before. He is hard to get pics of. He also has an ugly face I think. Lol

Does he stay or go?

I culled 3 cockerels today. A narrow backed cockerel, a wry tailed cockerel, and a high tailed blue copper that also had a narrow back whom I didn't even bother photopgraphing. I am now down to 7. I decided to hang onto the well colored high tailed cockerel for now. And I couldnt bring myself to cull SW. I'm going to let him hang out a while. :hmm

Yep I guess so. Im sure they go by a points system but just counted off points for color on my birds? I honestly dont know. It annoys me to work so hard with them and they get zero acknowledgement at all at the show. The competition had nice looking birds, don't get me wrong. She even complemented the type on my birds. The judges just like more color. So I will set up at least one pen that will throw very well colored pullets next year just to show.

if I run out of space and I only left with 1 room for 1 cockerel and I had to choose between this guy and SW I think the it is easy wich one stay and wich one go ,
this guy has to go ,he has nothing good to offer ,sorry

if I had him I ll keep him in the special rooster section .I keep the odd and the trouble maker .I quite like them I have a space and time for them but I will never breed from them .

Here is "big guy." He is on the narrow side but his profile view is lovely. I think we had decided to cull him too but I struggled to part with him today. Grrrr!!!

I couldn't get a pic of his rear view. He kept running from me. He is a bit narrow in the tail. No pyramid in the back.

Does he go? I can cull but I can't un-cull so I just want to be 100% sure.
