managed to take nice photos of Samir #2 . let him loose with the hens to prepare him for breeding in 5 weeks time . he look very good . his back is little shorter like his sire . similar body type . the sire has a better comb ,the son has a better tail .his Dam is Kako .so he is split silver/copper . his base pattern is Blue cuckoo . { his sire is splash and his dam is single copy dominant white over a black cuckoo } all these genes will help to produce a pure white lines in future dominant and recessive .

very nice long and wide marans pullet 13 months old . good blue plumage color and god copper quality just not enough of it . her eggs are 4/5 large and long . her comb is her weakest points ,side sprig .
penned her with Khabib SPC rooster to fix the comb and the eggs color . she will lengthen the backs of the future progeny .
she is from Liza s BLC hens cross import line rooster . so she and Khabib come from a same breeders hens .
here I m inbreeding to Liza s BLC hens .
looking forward to see her babies in the Autumn .
named her Liza .

wow high quality marans for sure .plus in driving distance to you to pick the eggs up .bonus .
correct rich uniform copper .no parasitic white .great small tails .gorgeous large dark eggs .what else you waiting for .
tell the breeders to mark you the eggs if they know witch hen lay what if possible .other wise send photos of them when you get them .
good luck .

I am thinking of getting rid of line #1 all together.

Ive already culled all the cockerels.
The 3 pullets from line #1 all have high tails, marbled eyes, one with an obvious white spot on her shoulder, overfeathered feet, etc etc.

Not sure I want to waste my time breeding them.

Line #2 are much better quality.

Then hatch eggs from this woman and see how they grow out.

Thoughts on this anyone?
