when you have time can you please post photos of the cockerels you are saying they have overly feathered legs .

Looking at them, I am not really seeing any. This leads me to believe it was the pullets that had the over feathered feet. They are all gone now and I only have the cockerels left. Interesting.

we have to do some thing about the square body ,we don t want thatv .we need long rectangular body .
do you any hen or rooster with a correct long body type or all of your chooks have a square body ?
take some photos if you can of the chooks with a long body type if you have please .

Their new pen is almost ready for them. They hate this one and it is hard to get photos in.

I ll comment on them later when I m using my lap top . I see few with a correct body type . Chunky hen with short legs and fluffy thigh is my favourite one .she is in the photos 3/4/6/7/8 and 9. We only need couples of hens with a correct body type to breed from them .

Marans hen with very bad body type V type not to breed from .

Here a blue Marans hen with a correct body type long with a deep chest and long flat back lovely small pointed tail. Gorgeous plumage free from fluffiness . Her name is Sahara . She is not as heavy as the other but still make the SOP limit of 2,9kg

Here my red hen baby red she has a good body type with a deep chest and medium long flat back but she has fluffy thigh.

Her body is not as long as I like them to be but still correct . Has to be mated to a proper rooster other wise she will throw some square body type .
She need to be batted to a very long body type rooster like Rashad .
Like I always say we need to balance the matting .
