Please don't leave them out in the cold.
IME, for tiny chicks like this, cutting off the head is the quickest and most humane method. This article is very tastefully done. You do need sharp sturdy shears. I generally use a knife.

Have you ever done cervical dislocation?
On a chick that small it's probably not a good option. The method he shows in the video is fine for pullets or hens. I wouldn't recommend it for cockerels and roosters unless you are strong.

No I have not. I was just back gin up what someone else suggested. I had a feeling it would be difficult on a chick. Thanks for the info!

So sorry about your chick. It's really heart breaking. Don't lock them in a ziplock bag or leave them in the cold, could you imagine being left in a plastic bag or out in the cold to die? It will be much more peaceful to go with other methods. I am so sorry. I wish there was an easier way. I agree culling is the best option for your little chick. Just know we are all here to support you

how about zip lock bag, together?

or just let them be? maybe they will just fall asleep in peace and not wake?

Get a bag- a paper bag or an empty popcorn bag and a sharp pair of scissors. Line scissors/shears up on chick's neck - put the chick into the paper bag and then do the deed. It sucks - but it is the kindest option and the use of the PAPER bag spares you the visual. I've had to do it. I hated it, but it is the fastest and least painful thing for them.

Aw I’m so sorry about your chicks. I honestly have no idea how the chick hatches and then have like it’s intestines hanging out like that
