That sounds like a wonderful recovery! Great job!Hi everyone. Fell in love w chickens about two years ago when my mom volunteered me to adopted five chickens from her coworker who was moving.
So far we’ve been challenged by building a coop, rehabbing a used coop, mites, relocated raccoons, broody hens, and the terrible loss of our first flock to a fox. Mourned our losses amd then started again with 17 baby chicks amd 11 guinea fowl. Chicks and keets are now approx 11 weeks Nd we know we have at least 8 little roosters. Few weeks ago discovered a chick had curled toe paralysis. Brought chick back to live in brooder box in our kitchen. Started pumping her riboflavin, out her in a sling, taped her toes and splinted and 3 weeks later when we were goving up her toes became uncurled and she miraculously recovered amd started walking around! My first flock included one rooster a bearded belgian duccle my love. So beautiful. Need some help identifying some of my new chicks and appreciate being in this group!
