Self checkout registers, if I wanted to be a cashier there I would apply for a job and expect to get paid and/or get an employee discount, not work there for free as a full paying customer...

Try the Swing Away can opener. I was about to scream having to replace ours every month or so. We went to a Kitchen Store, and they said Consumer Reports rated Swing Away the highest. It's been a few years, and it works like a charm. This is a manual opener.

X10 to the enth power! ( Especially when an item doesn't scan properly and you stand around for 'eternity' waiting for...oh yea, a CASHIER to come and go boop with their card and walk away until you do it again with the next item!
