Is $33.00 shipping reasonable for 6 showgirl eggs.or am I just crazy?

I have paid $25.00 for 6 silkie eggs and I think that is reasonable, I think what the seller is offering is also very reasonable for what they are selling.
I would say that if someone is a popular seller on this board then you don't have any worries.
There is a buyer's feedback section on this forum so you could always have looked up the seller if you had concerns.

If you have concerns about a seller's goods its probably best to ask them privately if you have any questions or to just ask it in a generic fashion on this forum without getting into details.

I was very careful not to mention the sellers name....the seller has been quite friendly and helpful. I just wanted to know if it was reasonalble....the seller answered on the thread and identified herself.

I see that you all have faith in her so I will take your adevice and get the eggs thanks

I just never paid that much for 6 eggs before...!

I have paid $35 + shipping for 6 silkies and only got 2, one with an incorrect comb(but the sweetest thing ever, and not from this seller). I will get them if you won't

As far as paying for hatching eggs.
1. you get what you pay for. If your just looking for pet quality or to just have some of them for around the house. Then just get some for less money.
2. hathcing shipped eggs is always a chance. The po can play "soccer" with the boxes, theres temp changes,etc..
3. then it's always up to the buyer for the incubation process.

Now onto the next subject.
IF your planning on starting to breed the birds for showing or what not. Id suggest you contact a established breeder for stock. Well known breeders will be able to share with you what their stock is, how and who they orig. got their stock from, what type of breeding program they have and what their breeding program is geered towards. Good breeders will use the standards of the breed and follow it. That's bottom line. Good breeders will usually sell breeding or pet quality stock. And, will offer eggs for sale on occasion when their birds are on a laying frenzy!

Some may sell birds at shows as well also. AND, a good breeder will be very honest with you about his/her stock and will tell you the faults of each bird as well if any.

Showgirls are NOT a recognized breed yet! We showgirl breeders go by the silkie standards (ASBC). And their a work in progres
