Is a baby potbelly pig a good additon to add to ur pets??

Pot Belly Pigs make awesome pets if:
1. you have the yard space (own your home) and are willing to build nothing less than the pigs very own , very large electric wire/fence pen & Shelter- Tried to have our pig in the backyard but he ended up mating / breaking all chairs , tables , hammock (yes i said mating) oh an chewing the wooden deck to little pieces, raided chicken feeders and cleared any and all greenery in the yard
- our pig did well for a while in the house when he was a piglet , potty trained easily but loved to move furniture , play really rough with other pets and the famous "hi ma, i ate the wall and check out this new hole and all this fun pink fluffy insulation" event
2. you are purchasing an already spayed/neutered piglet(should be done at a few days old) or be willing to pay about $250 and hunt down a vet willing to take the risks sedating an adult pet pig.
3. Ability to keep up with and/or afford hoof trimmings , Vet bills- orthopedic issues , ear & eye issues to name a few, dewormers etc
4. you are willing to spend time every single day paying attention to you pet pig (just like any other mammal)

because new owners do no take these four requirements seriously , hundreds of "pet pigs" will be dumped into sanctuaries , shelters , etc

If I had the land I would love to adopt some of these guys but sadly i purchased my pet piglet prior to knowing about these owner surrendered pet pigs

They are extremely smart- more so than i had ever imagined before getting one

Oh and I pick up about 50lbs of produce each week for my little bubba

Yes having your pet pig Neutered or spayed is a MUST for being a good childs pet. Males are Males they will be trying to mate anything in site, Females can be grumpy moody when they come in! Unless you wish to deal with this don't get a pet pig! A pig needs as much time OUTSIDE as inside pigs are active they need and HAVE to be outside alot don't get one to be 100% indoors I just don't think it's healthy not for their eyes or joints and can cause behavioral issues! Pigs can be good pets but you have to be a good pig parent also!

These little pigs dont taste good at all...
You need a big fat old farm hog for the good meat..
