I know! Exactly. However, I'm sure my hubby won't even entertain the idea of moving if I can't even hatch out 2 chicks! lol Cross your fingers.​

Well, my first ones didn't hatch but you just keep on until you get it right ;-)

When I candled I had to toss 10 of them. Lot with blood rings and some clear. Still super excited I have 8 good ones.

The hatching day is kinda stressful, when one pips then its like what about that egg why isnt it pip. Why did this one hatch and not that one, did I do something wrong. Sometimes you do everything right and its just not to be, and sometimes the incubator starts filling up with chicks it's amazing.

Haha I got 3 dozen mutt eggs today. Incubator is not even ready to set. I have 4 days to get it fine tuned. I work better under pressure though. Once I get it fined tuned I'll need to find another 9 dozen eggs lol.

Flawedatdesign - I've had to stop hatching mutt chicks b/c I don't have room for them. Mutts are cute and special in their own way!

It was a really good hatch of shipped eggs from CA that I purchased here on BYC buy it now auction. There were two of this splash color and another pullet of a golden/blue. Her pic is below. I am very tempted to buy more and try again

Andalusan, those are some beautiful birds! I particularly like the lemon! Are you planning on hatching their eggs in the future? (Silly question! Should remember which thread I'm on!)

Whoever said they have Icelandic eggs, I would love to try to hatch some in the future! Those are beautiful birds! What do you charge for their eggs?

Hatching question: the eggs I currently have in my tankbator come from a Cochin x. Her eggs have the thickest skins I have ever seen. How will I know if the chicks (if they hatch, I only put three of her eggs in for trial run) need help?
