Robin'sBrood :
Is anyone else using the new no calorie sweetener that is on the market now, Truvia? I bought some and it's really good... at least in my coffee and tea. I can't do Splenda, it makes my kidneys hurt so bad. Glad to see another option on the market now!
I just found this post while looking for no-sugar-added jam recipes.
I was really excited about Truvia's debut, because I've been using stevia for years and years, and I'd love for it to go more "mainstream." It DOES taste really good, and is more "natural" than Splenda. What is disappointing to me, from a low-carb standpoint, is that EACH packet of Truvia is 3 grams carb. When you're trying to keep each meal to 10 grams or under, using up three of those in one little packet of sweetener is just too dear a price for me.
So I just keep using my SweetLeaf stevia products.
