Is He A "Pure" Cuckoo Maran?

i like to preface this by saying it was not my plan to have a cuckoo maran, haha. i quickly learned that the hatchery TSC gets their chicks from are really bad at keeping them separated when i ended up with a BR/RIR mix & a cuckoo maran when i wanted/bought 4 Barred Plymouth Rocks. Not to mention, 2 crosses out of the 6 Black Australorps I got at the same time. Though, my question is this: is Rex a 100% cuckoo maran or is he a cross as well? I am not familiar with the breed and I wasn't sure if they were supposed to have the iridescent green feathers or not.

He looks full Cuckoo Maran to me. I have a hen and he looks like her but rooster Version! Lol

oh, good, this was mostly out of curiosity because im so suspicious of TSC & their hatchery buddy now. so many of my chickens are not what they were supposed to be lol

TBH, I wouldn't care about his breeding. If he behaves nicely, then he's "keeper," ... he's GORGEOUS!

He has leakage on his wings and shoulders that shouldn't be there.
His legs aren't feathered, and while that alone wouldn't discount him as a Cuckoo Marans, I'm assuming you bought him in America. American CM have feathered legs.
Black sex link cockerels are barred and often have a bit of leakage.

He really is beautiful. I wouldn't worry about his breed either.
It should be easy enough to get a Cuckoo Marans cockerel.
