Is heat exhaustion a real thing for chickens?

I am not completely sure if it was 2 full days or not. I was busy doing projects for 2 family members and didnt get a chance to get food and water down to them before I was exhausted. I suspect the heat didnt help any as Ive missed a day in the past and they were ok. I had thought for sure I made sure they at least had water but they are prone to knocking it over too.

I will post some pictures as soon as I can I had to pick up the save a chick while on the road for work. will be stopping at home soon to start them on it. Appreciate everyones help and suggestions it was never my intention to do this.

Ive now got a rooster and another hen acting like this.. ive got the savea chick on their water dish help!!?

They won't recover immediately from the save-a-chick. You need to do other methods to cool them off as quickly as possible. Troubleshooting chicken deaths requires addressing the most obvious thing first which is the heat. Are they panting..do they have their beaks open?

Can they get outside to catch a breeze? Do they have shade?

they aren't panting they are just acting sluggish and really really tired like to the point that they basically just collapse. The white hen in the photo that was just eating and drinking fine is now acting this way

Its like they ate something poisonous. ones that acted fine yesterday are now sluggish sleepy or almost dead :(

Like I said, we are currently experiencing dangerous heat levels, most likely that is your issue. If they are sick as well, then the heat could be contributing. If they were fine yesterday then I would say they are reacting to the heat. Since they went without water for 2 days, they could just be past the panting stage.

Are they able to get outside? Dip them in cool water, one at a time, it cannot hurt and see what happens.
