One thing that I noticed was the white-yellowish stuff in the droppings.
I smelled it and it was like rotten egg yolk or yeasty?
What do you think?
And, the clear liquid from the dropping is more like water than mucus.
Those are spur buds--even hens have them--normal. The diarrhea may just be from drinking too much water. Relax a bit, and keep an eye on her. Can you get some probiotics for her water? They might help the diarrhea. Also, I probably wouldn't do more than 2 total vent flushes with the vinegar solution--just stop so she doesn't develop irritation.
Is there any chance you could take a poop sample to the vet and have them check it under the scope for infection? If she were mine I'd also worm her (sorry if that's already been discussed, lol, 'cause I don't remember and I'm too lazy to re-read the thread.)
Thank you for your thoughts, Kathy. I will ask my husband if he can. I don't drive ...
The vet should be an avian vet ?
You are not lazy for sure. I see you helping out a lot of members here including me. I really appreciate for that.
No, we haven't discussed yet.
Yeah, I started reading about the article of worming hens. Could you paste the link that you recommend, or you can explain?
Aww.. I called a vet and she told me that they don't do for chickens, then she recommended to me to call several vets that will do it for my chickens.
All of them said, " No, we don't do."......
I found an avian vet that takes 40 minutes from our house by car, but the vet went to California, so he doesn't come back until Monday.
I will call him on Monday anyway.
My husband also told me the different idea that
Post to several regions of craiglist,
Hmmm.... You are lucky that some vets around you look at chicken's poop sample under the scope. It is hard to find the one who can do it for my chicken.
I bought a Smiithonian Microscopio at Micheal today. My son who uses a microscope at school and he did it to me for interest. He told me that is like molds.
Anyway, I don't know if we can see something from the cheap microscope, but it was something that I could do. LOL
