Is it a matter of concern?

My chicken laid and egg today as she regularly does..but today there was a blood on egg..i know a little is ok..but i ma still concerned..!! Thw whole egg is redish...and the pic shows the much darkh red side...

Does your chicken lay pure white eggs normally or are they sort of tan colored?

If the eggs are normally pure white, there may be cause for concern. If her eggs are tan or light brown, then the "blood" you see is from the color a hen lays down after the shell forms in the egg gland. The color is produced by a hen's body using discarded red blood cells. Sometimes the color comes out "streaked".

I have hens that lay red eggs and the color sometimes looks like the picture of the egg you posted.

My hens do that sometimes, it really isn't anything to be concerned about unless the eggs continue to look like that on a regular basis. I have hens that lay brown eggs and sometimes they look slightly bloody, but they are still healthy as could be.

Thnkzz for your replies...they helped...she lays regularky without problrem..tanned eggs
