Is it bad to put bigger duck breeds in with smaller breeds?

I've got a Saxony drake (8 lbs) and a WH drake (5 lbs) and they are are with Saxony and WH hens (7 and 4 lbs). This past summer I had some issues with one of the WH hens getting over-mated. She had feather loss/damage and, at one point, a leg injury. The other ladies had a bit of feather damage but nothing significant. I raised more hens to add to the flock to hopefully relieve some of the pressure.

I think my problem had more to do with numbers that with weights but I would not put drakes and hens with a larger size gap together.

Me too. It was my fault once I gave away all the other drakes, I felt sorry for this one being alone and it looked like she was faster. But a new birth today.

She screeched her head off unless I held her. Had to hold her till her sibling hatched and dried. They are in the heat cave quietly peeping. Two more to go:weeBoth blue pekin/runners. I think the other two will be also. I have to get with @Pyxis when they get bigger to get some advice on what to breed back into them to keep the blue going. They are all full siblings so I will need some outside genes.
