Is it better to have 2 ducks or 3?

Cutie. I would not put her in with the other girls until she grows close to their size. Adult ducks can be absolutely terrible to ducklings. Have fun with the little one. Maybe a stuffed animal in the brooder with her will help her out since you don't have other ducklings.
Yep. I know dolores is far too large to be around a duckling. I do fence introductions every day so they can hear her peep. Im always holding her tho.

Just adding my vote for 3. I started with two, Daphne and a Pekin called Margie. Margie died after a very brief illness and Daphne was inconsolable. My husband ended up going on an “emergency duck run” to get a friend for Daphne. We were hoping for another Rouen or Pekin adult. He ended with with two tiny Muscovy ducklings of unknown genders. It all worked out beautifully in the end, but we were lucky. Looking for an emergency friend for a grieving solo duck is not fun. If you have 3 to begin with and something unfortunate happens to one, your remaining ducks will not be alone :)
