I guess it all depends on you situation, if you a kid or you never have to leave the house in winter then yep, i guess it's fun. I lived in the mountains of Northeast PA from the day I was born until i was about 27.
I couldn't wait to move away from the cold, snow and ice. Driving 35 miles on hilly, curvy roads each way to work was miserable, having to drag yourself out into the cold to shovel your car out of the snow, defrost everything and then deal with the morons on the road who think that the snow has no effect on how their car handles so they keep trying to do 70 mph anyway.
the you have the potholes from all of the freezing and thawing, theres a joke in the snowbelt...we have two seasons...winter and construction, they spend all summer trying to patch up all the holes in the roads

Snow is bad, ice is much much worse, nothing like trying to walk across it, hoping you dont fall and break an elbow or something, driving...forget it, I did $6000 damage to my new car one time thanks to a layer of ice under the snow, the best brakes in the world arent going to keep you from going head on into the trees
Scrambled eggs: "around here if the weather guys say it "Might" snow, there won't be a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk in a grocery store within 50 miles of here!!"
thats hilarious and so true...everyone has to rush out and get bread, milk and eggs
theres a reason this holds true :
you know your from PA when :
You have an uncontrollable urge to buy bread and milk when you hear the word "snow."
You design your Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit.
Driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow.
You owe more money on your snowmobile or John Deere than your car.
You know the four seasons: Winter, Still Winter, Almost Winter, and Construction.
As a kid you built snow forts and leaf piles that were taller than you were.
In 1976 The /Pennsylvania Highway Department/
(PHD, not Ph.D.) was short for /Pot Hole Department/.
Rumor had it that the skillful making of potholes was always
seeded with the means to develop more for next winter,
and to assure work in-between for the rest of the year.
However i did have fun in highschool ski club and buzzin around on snowmobiles but would i go back to living where it gets cold, snowy and icy.
It gets cold here in Northeast Florida but not for long, it's hard to explain to people but it's a very wet cold that just goes through layers of clothing, we have all this cold air blowing over all of this water and it chills you to the bone...but, no snow.
It did snow once here, before i lived here...about 1/2 " fell and shut down the city for 2 days
