    Yup.

Roosters love junk in the trunk, large and small.

My sebright bantam rooster bred the standard EE hens behind my back, and did not know until the chicks were about a month old. [IMG]

ETA, My standard Barred Rock had bred the White Silkie bantam hens, without me knowing until the chicks hatched. [IMG]

Yes, it is very possible. But for the hens sake, use a bantam rooster and a large fowl hen.

    Laree,

The naked neck turkens you hatched from me are from a standard size Rooster over a Bantam Mille Fleur hen.

He was a pretty good size Rooster too and she was very small. He never hurt her. I think it would be harder for a bantam roo to breed a full size hen.

Yes... and I definitely think it should be bantam rooster to standard hen. My silkie roo has successfully covered a standard EE without any problems and just the thought of my FBCM roo over a bantam hen makes me shudder... he would crush her!

Oh, you betcha! I have quite a few little sports from my Silver Sebright and bantam Cochin roos running around my yard, with Blue Orp and Wyandotte moms.

Quote:Yeah-- my Patchwork is a standard sized bird, and he regularly breeds the OEGB, sizzles, d'uccles, etc.

The smart hens just leart to squash FLAT, and FAST.
