Went to a swap at the end of March and picked up several chicks that were supposed to be sexed as pullets. They were very young at that point and I am a first time chicken momma so I didn't know one way or another. I had another chicken momma there who was selling vent sex them for me since she knows what to do. I left feeling pretty confident I had all females since I can't have roos where I am. Well, we're now at roughly 11 weeks and I'm not convinced my Lavender Orpington "Luna" isn't actually a "Leonard", so I'm here to ask the experts. Thoughts? If it is actually Leonard, then I've reached out to the breeder I got him/her from to see if they'd be open to a swap. Attached pictured were from a couple of weeks ago but the comb and wattles look the same. Still pale yellow with only a little bit of pink. No noticeable saddle feathers and while Luna is loud, there has not been any crowing. She is my fluffiest bird and my bossiest for sure. Luna is the light one in the back.
Update: I reached out to the breeder I got him from and she's going to swap me for one the same age that's a pullet. I'm bummed because this is one of my favorites but unfortunately I can't have a roo. I just took some updated pictures and I didn't realize just how big and much more pronounced his features have gotten since the last set of pictures
