Is my Rooster a White Rock?

White Rock...I would say he has had scratch or cracked corn to eat that will turn the coloring yellow in my opinion...

My buff Rocks are a clear buff color all over--no white at all. The roo's feathers are extra glossy--they almost glisten--but they are clear buff. If this fellow is buff, then he's a buff cross of some kind, but he's not a purebred buff Rock.

Is it just me or does he not have a straight comb. Looks like a rose-ish comb to me.... I would say a White Wyandotte. And he looks brassy from eating a lot of corn or being in the sun a lot.

ETA: Didn't see where you said he lost it. I would go with White Rock then.

So it sounds like the general consensus is that he is a White Rock. He does get a little bit of cracked corn(what comes out of my chicken coop from the hens) but otherwise he is 100% free range on the farm 24 hrs a day. And he roosts up in my trees with his two game hens.
