Is there a way to turn off the stuff on the right hand side?

I know I don't have to pay to come here, but to have a pleasant experience here without headaches or looking out the corner of my eye at all that stuff, I have to pay. I've been using message boards for 12 yrs and have never had to pay and am not going to start now. I get that it costs money to run it but isn't that why the ads are there?

I can't get rid of it either, but something that I find helps a little is if you select the option that makes all the posts the same width, that way the stuff at the side doesn't make a really obvious dent into the posts section.

This should be helpful. We're still evaluating the various GFM / PPM options.

myself i don't think we need the side bar recent reviews in our face, at least make it alot smaller. JMO

They ARE unnecessary. I wouldn't want to see breed reviews unless I was looking to start with a new breed. and in that case I would go to the breeds section to read reviews

I figured out how to get rid of the right sidebar stuff in Chrome and now the posts are the width of the page. Much better!

eta: figured it out in IE too. No luck in firefox but then it isn't really working at all in firefox anyway.

I must say, the breed reviews are a little irritating to me as well. I do like being able to see if there are other people viewing the thread I'm in, but the other stuff is kind of a bummer.

Well good! That should help. I thought about hanging a strip of paper on the edge of the computer...not too high tech! LOL
