Is there a way to turn off the stuff on the right hand side?

Heck I haven't even figured out the "discussions" part let alone the other 2 things...reviews and recent articles!
Frogs ain't too bright when it comes to this computer stuff...hee hee

Actually most of us (at least not me) are not complaining about ads, but about the 'reviews' section. I'd rather have ads there, if there has to be SOMETHING there.

Members pages may be an option. Reviews of poultry related items. And the list goes on and on once we get the other things worked out. Many options and nothing set in stone.

btw, I love the idea of context relevant member pages- i.e. pages of people who posted on the page you are viewing appear in the right hand sidebar.

btw the link posted by terrielacy looks like the one I posted but it's not the same. For some reason hers has an extra couple of characters in it (not as it's typed but somehow it does).

Woot! Excellent. The option isn't there yet for me, but I think that's a good decision.

The stuff on the right-hand side slows my computer WAY down to the pont that it takes a minute or more to load a page!!!

I honestly do not mind the ads and reviews but I DO MIND the EXTREMELY SLOW PAGE LOAD TIMES!!!!!!

I often visited websites in the 1990's that loaded MUCH faster and more efficiently.

I find the management's attitude here to be highly patronizing and insensitive to the needs of rural residents and folks on lower incomes who may not have ultra-high-speed computers and connections...but who DO have chickens!!!!!!
