Is this a black copper maran rooster

Funny, I can't see his lobes at all. :p

But with yellow legs... 100% I will go with NOT pure Marans. I can see how it would be easy for someone to think that though... without a trained eye... :)

Before one year old they get the label cockerel or pullet. After that is when they become hen or rooster, technically. And for people who show, rooster is not an accepted term. Then it is simply cock. ;)

He is still handsome. :love

I noticed the legs, but thought it was the lighting. But I have to agree, not pure Marans.
